OPEN CALL: DESIGNERS FOR FRESH FACES IN FASHION 2007
Gen Art Miami is now looking for talented fashion, swimwear, and accessory designers who are based in Florida or Georgia to participate in the 4th Annual Fresh Faces in Fashion to be held on March 31st poolside on the bay at Flamingo South Beach. This is an unequaled opportunity to participate in a high-profile runway show attended by press, buyers, celebrities and fashion industry professionals, all at no cost to the designer.
Last year, Fresh Faces in Fashion showcased Miami's own Pelusium, Uli Herzner (recent Project Runway finalist), MIA Swimwear and Ecliptica, as well as Sarah Luna (New York), Tomer (New York), and local accessory designers Patricia Costa, Lauren Carina, and Jennifer Zeuner. Designers who have had their runway debut at Gen Art fashion shows include Zac Posen, Rebecca Taylor, Cosa Nostra by Jeffrey Sebelia and Binetti.
In order to be eligible to participate in Gen Art's Fresh Faces in Fashion event, applicants must meet the following requirements:
* Designer's label is less than 7 years old
* Designer has shipped and sold at least one season and is currently selling their items in at least one store
* Designer can show at least 10 of their own full looks

* Professional Bio and/or Press Kit (must include your e-mail, phone number and address)
* jpg. images showing at least 6 different looks (must be actual clothes or accessories, no sketches accepted)
* List of stores where the line has recently or is currently sold

Designers will be chosen by a Selection Committee made up of talented industry professionals including fashion editors, stylists and retail buyers.
The submission deadline is Friday, February 16, 2007.
