"Cool Vs. Cruel" Traveling Fashion Show
Showcased at The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale
Garments from last year’s Cool vs. Cruel contest are on exhibition in The Art Institute of Fort
Lauderdale’s Mark K. Wheeler Gallery, November 30-January 3, 2007. The purpose of the competition is to get the next generation of fashion designers thinking about the animals whose pelts are taken for fur.
On the cover: Jacinta Ligon, a recent graduate of The Art Institute in Fort Lauderdale, won second place by producing a striking black leather dress ringed in white faux fur that combined elements of several designs.
